Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in repairing and maintaining heavy machinery, including on and off road equipment. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring equipment is safe and operational.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of on highway and off road heavy equipment including engines, transmissions, brake systems etc.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment as needed for repairs or inspections.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and other issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate and to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery to customers.
- Maintain a clean work area
- Maintain communication with the service manager and other technicians on the job
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on equipment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency in welding techniques for machinery repairs.
- Ability to analyze and apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to overcome technical problems
- Demonstrate the ability to independently plan and prioritize time and material requirements in an efficient manner
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding their equipment needs.
- Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail, as well as part of a team, exercise good judgement and conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner.
- Completion of heavy duty mechanic apprenticeship , possessing an Alberta accepted trade ticket, interprovincial red seal license

Pay: $35.00-$60.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- mechanical: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
- Trade Certificate (preferred)
