Position Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Technician to join our Maintenance team at our Richmond Hill facility. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, installing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production equipment within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will support daily production operations by ensuring equipment reliability, completing preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance.
We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience, from skilled Maintenance Technicians to more experienced Mechanical Technicians with advanced troubleshooting and industrial maintenance backgrounds.
This role is ideal for a hands-on individual who enjoys problem-solving, working with industrial equipment, and contributing to a safe and efficient production environment.
Shift Schedule:
Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Bi-weekly weekend work scheduled in advance
Overtime as required

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform immediate repairs to minimize production downtime
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial production equipment
- Inspect, install, repair, replace, and adjust mechanical equipment throughout the facility
- Perform maintenance work on both large and small production units
- Overhaul, rebuild, and install new equipment as required
- Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Assemble, align, and maintain mechanical components including gears, bearings, shafts, pumps, motors, and gear reducers
- Fabricate and rebuild mechanical parts as required
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Complete assigned work orders and maintenance documentation
- Generate parts requests to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Determine the most effective repair methods while minimizing production interruptions
- Advise when equipment shutdowns are required to prevent damage or ensure safety
- Communicate equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement and preventative maintenance initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical technician, or similar role
- Industrial Millwright License (433A) is considered a strong asset
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting background required
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and repair
- Experience with welding and fabrication is considered an asset
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
- Experience with CMMS/work order systems is considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills are considered an asset
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Must be available to work overtime as required
