Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Culinary Supervisor to oversee food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management within our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves supervising culinary staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
- Lead and manage culinary team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service
- Oversee food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with restaurant management to plan menus, monitor inventory, and control costs
- Train and mentor staff on food safety, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices
- Ensure consistent quality of dishes served and uphold the restaurant’s culinary standards
- Assist in food presentation and serving when necessary to maintain excellent guest experiences
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization to meet safety and hygiene standards
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Prior experience in restaurant management or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service
- Hands-on experience with food industry standards, including serving practices and kitchen safety protocols
