Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, butchery, and food handling, with a strong focus on meat cutting and food safety standards. This role involves preparing high-quality cuts of meat, packaging products, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The Meat Cutter will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive fresh, properly prepared meat products while maintaining the highest safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities (included but not limited too)
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and company standards
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely and in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package meat products securely for retail sale or storage
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations and equipment in accordance with health regulations
- Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable customer service
- Stock display cases and ensure proper rotation of products to minimize waste
- Follow all safety procedures during food handling and equipment operation
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and quality standards
- Help with catering and grocery items
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry, butchery, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, meat cutting techniques, and food safety protocols
- Ability to operate knives and other cutting tools safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads as needed
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain necessary certifications prior to employment is a plus

- We are moving locations so there will be 2 weeks where we will require your to help set up the new facility.
- The plan is to start training at our current facility to hit the ground running at the new one for September 1, 2026
- We want someone who is customer orientated with a pleasant and flexible personality to join our small, family style team.
- Starting wage during training is $18.00/hour with a raise to be reviewed upon probation period (3-6 month)
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
