Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including tables, utensils, and workstations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist in basic food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support overall restaurant operations
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns with professionalism
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and handling cash transactions
- Experience with serving in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent time management skills
- Previous kitchen or food industry experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for specific duties
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$20.10 per hour
