We’re looking to add an experienced Construction Estimator to our team, supporting a range of residential builds across the Okanagan.
What You’ll Do:
- Review drawings, specs, and project documentation to develop precise cost projections
- Source pricing and evaluate proposals from subcontractors and material suppliers
- Build and update internal pricing data, including historical cost tracking
- Work closely with project managers to align estimates with overall budgets
- Suggest cost-efficient alternatives through value engineering
- Identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining build quality
- Complete detailed quantity take-offs and material assessments
- Support procurement activities and assist with contract discussions
- Monitor market trends, including fluctuations in material and labour costs
What You Bring:
- 3–5 years of estimating experience, preferably in residential construction
- Solid understanding of building practices, materials, and costing methods
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and confidence in negotiations
- Ability to manage tasks independently while contributing to a team environment
