Overview
We are seeking multiple dedicated and vigilant BC Licensed Security Guards to join our team, for fire season work.
MUST HAVE VALID BC SECURITY LICENSE.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with an emphasis on surveillance and loss prevention. The Security Guard will monitor premises, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, assessing the situation and taking appropriate action.
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities observed during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety protocols are upheld.
- Enforce rules and regulations set forth by management while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and techniques is a plus.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long periods of monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
- work 12 hour days up to 14 days at a time.
- Able to work in remote setting and adjust to forestry camp accommodations.
