Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Waste/Recycling Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting waste safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy equipment.
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks to transport waste across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of waste.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Picker crane experience mandatory
- Drivers Abstract mandatory
- 3A drivers license mandatory
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Strong knowledge of waste handling procedures and regulations.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise during transportation.
