Part-Time Service Advisor / Front Counter Attendant

$16.50 per hour | Approximately 15–20 hours per week
Nanoshop is looking for a friendly, dependable, and tech-minded person to join our team as a part-time Service Advisor / Front Counter Attendant.
Nanoshop repairs, sells, and trades phones, tablets, computers, and game consoles. We also carry cases, chargers, screen protectors, audio products, and other accessories. In this role, you’ll assist customers at the front counter and complete minor software repairs and device-support tasks.
What You’ll Do
- Greet customers and determine how we can help with their device
- Check devices in for diagnosis or repair
- Accurately record device details and customer concerns
- Explain repair options, estimates, warranties, and expected timelines
- Keep customers updated on the status of their repairs
- Perform minor software repairs and troubleshooting
- Assist with device setup, updates, resets, data transfers, and account-related issues
- Answer telephone calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Process sales, repair payments, trade-ins, and other transactions
- Help customers choose phones, cases, chargers, and accessories
- Install screen protectors and assist with basic device setup
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-counter area
- Coordinate with repair technicians and assist with other store duties
What We’re Looking For
- Daytime availability is required
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and organized
- Comfortable troubleshooting phones, tablets, and computers
- Able to learn repair terminology, products, and store procedures
- Comfortable managing several customers and tasks at once
- Patient and confident when helping customers with technology
- Retail, customer-service, sales, or technology experience is an asset
- Previous repair experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided
Position Details
- Part-time, approximately 15–20 hours per week
- Starting wage of $16.50 per hour
- Daytime shifts, with some weekend availability potentially required
- In-person position at Nanoshop in the Village Shopping Centre
