Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced and skilled servers to join our food and beverage team at a new boutique hotel opening in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, and ensuring that guests have a personalized and memorable dining experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take orders for food and drinks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences and the menu offerings.
- Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and to the guest's satisfaction.
- Work with the kitchen and bar team to ensure that food and beverages are served in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with setting tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the service team to ensure that guests have a seamless and exceptional dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all areas of the restaurant are clean and well-maintained.
- Upsell menu items, promotions, and specials to guests, maximizing guest satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation, and presentation, as well as the restaurant's wine and beverage program.
- Other duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2-3years of experience as a server in a high-end restaurant or hotel in Vancouver, with a strong knowledge of food and beverage service and a track record of providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with guests and staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Serving it Right certification is required.
