Since 2011, Sparks Salons has been focused on delivering high-quality beauty services, without the high-end attitude. We're just a team of passionate, down-to-earth beauty professionals performing the services we love.
Please note that we are not currently hiring apprentices or informally trained stylists. Must be licensed and registered to be considered for positions.
Job Description:
- Performing hair services including cut and style, colour and highlighting (balayage, baby lights and other techniques as requested) - (Must be able to complete these services on your own without supervision.)
- Performing short, textured, and curly hair cuts for both men and women.(negotiable but preferred)
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment before, during and after service completion.
- Taking photos and videos of work to promote on the Sparks Salon social media and your own professional page.
- Maintaining current knowledge related to services and products we offer to keep clients informed. (We mainly use Oligo Professionnel on our colour backbar)
- Attending and participating in training sessions and in-salon specialized classes to learn new styling techniques and products.
- Following policies and procedures of the salon at all times
Education and Experience (REQUIRED):
- Hairstylist license
- 3+ years working as an independent stylist in a profession salon setting - (will not be considered for position without experience)
- Established client base preferred
Requirements
- Must be able to work on weekends - Saturday
- Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with various personality types and cultural backgrounds - we are an INCLUSIVE salon and this extends to our team and our clients.
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate with clients in a professional, friendly manner
Compensation: $18-$50.00 per hour - fluctuates based on service commission, tips and retail commission.
