Seeking an experienced caregiver for Wednesdays and Fridays only (8 am to 3 pm) with at least 2 years of caregiving experience related to high needs seniors (Parkinson's and dementia) and relevant diploma/training to care for our parents in their home. Hours may increase if candidate is suitable/available.
Responsibilities
- Mom is non-communicative and immobile. Need to spoon feed and provide toileting/diapering care. Use suction device, and mechanical ceiling and mobile lifts. We will train.
- Dad has early Alzheimer's. Minimum care, he is independent.
- Both parents: administer meds (pills), prepare meals, etc. Assist with personal hygiene.
- Housekeeping and sanitation duties
- Monitor and report on parents health status and any changes in condition
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care
- Familiarity with working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Experience caring for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Ability to perform caregiving duties that involve physical support
- Compassionate attitude
- Prior training or certification in caregiving
Salary: $28/hr. This is on payroll and amount is firm. No negotiation. Looking for commitment of at least one year or more. We will NOT sponsor work visas or hire foreign workers who have no work status in Canada.
- Cantonese language is asset.
Pay: $28.00 per hour
