Position Summary
Aburi Hana is seeking a Kitchen Line Cook to support daily kitchen operations by preparing high-quality food while maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety. This role is well suited for a dependable, detail-oriented cook with a strong work ethic who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within a professional kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper food handling in all work areas
- Assist with prep, production, and service during busy periods
- Support inventory organization and assist with ordering as needed (or willingness to learn)
- Perform kitchen steward duties, including cleaning stations, equipment, and work areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Ensure ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated
- Lift, move, and organize products and supplies up to 50 lbs
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to assist with or learn ordering and inventory processes
- Valid Food Safe certification
- Previous Asian cooking experience is an asset, due to ingredients used
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
