We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes with attention to flavor, presentation, and consistency
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and assistants, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee food handling procedures in compliance with safety standards
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to health regulations
- Lead menu development and suggest new dishes to enhance the culinary offerings
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and uphold quality standards
- Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure excellent service delivery
- Ensure timely preparation of dishes during busy hours while maintaining quality control
- Uphold food safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management within the food industry
- Supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience in hospitality settings with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Food service experience including serving guests is preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating professionalism at all times
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
