GG Calgary is looking for an experienced Construction Crew Lead and Laborer's to join our team!
We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, and skilled leader with hands-on construction experience who can manage a crew while actively working on-site. We are also seeking hardworking individuals with construction laborer experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a construction crew on various residential and commercial projects
- Perform and oversee brick and paving stone installation
- Grade and prepare sites for construction and landscaping projects
- Operate skid steers, excavators, loaders, and other construction equipment
- Read site plans and ensure projects are completed to specifications
- Coordinate crew activities and maintain productivity on-site
- Ensure all work is completed safely and meets quality standards
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Communicate with management regarding project progress and site requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of construction or landscape construction experience
- Proven experience with brickwork, paving stones, retaining walls, or similar hardscape installations
- Experience grading ground and preparing construction sites
- Ability to safely operate skid steers, excavators, and other machinery
- Strong leadership and crew management skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (clean abstract preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
