Role Overview
We are seeking Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT) with strong classroom experience on Math and English to teach small groups of students using Best Brains curriculum. The ideal candidate should be warm, patient, energetic, and committed to academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead small-group classes for students in Grades K–8
- Teach Math & English using Best Brains curriculum
- Provide individualized support to help students strengthen foundational skills
- Maintain a positive, encouraging classroom environment
- Track student progress and communicate with parents when needed
- Ensure lessons are completed on time and with quality
- Support centre operations during class hours (attendance, materials, student transitions, progress reports and etc)
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) or equivalent teaching certification
- Minimum 2+ years classroom or tutoring experience
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Math & English curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills
- Ability to work weekday evenings and/or weekends
- IELTS band of 8.5+
Good to have Skills
- Experience teaching public speaking and creative writing
- Familiarity with enrichment programs like Abacus
- Comfort working with diverse learners and learning styles
