We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator / Registered Dental Assistant to join our team in a fixed-term contract position until December 16, 2027. Please note that while this is a dual Registered Dental Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator position, the majority of the role will focus on Patient Care Coordinator responsibilities. The successful candidate will primarily support front-office operations, patient scheduling, billing, insurance processing, and overall patient experience, while also providing clinical assistance as needed.

Create a welcoming and positive experience for patients from arrival to departure
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials while maintaining infection prevention and control standards
Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures while ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow
Take dental radiographs and digital images as required
Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment education
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, recalls, and patient communications to optimize the schedule
Handle patient billing, insurance claims, payments, and fee inquiries in a professional manner
Process referrals, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure charts are up to date
Support daily administrative and clinical operations to ensure a smooth patient experience
Build strong patient relationships through empathy, professionalism, and effective communication
Follow all privacy, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory body
Previous dental assisting experience preferred
Dental administration or patient care coordinator experience preferred
Experience with dental software systems is preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Passionate about providing outstanding patient care and working collaboratively within a team environment
