Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Shop Associate to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing product displays, and supporting sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and eager to engage with customers while promoting our products and services. Multilingual abilities and technical sales experience are a plus, as they enhance our ability to serve diverse clientele effectively.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers
- Support retail sales through upselling and cross-selling techniques
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked
- Assist with merchandising efforts to promote new or featured products
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette
- Support inventory management and assist with stock replenishment
- Utilize organizational skills to keep the sales floor tidy and efficient
Qualifications
- Punctual/ on time.
- Previous experience in retail sales, technical sales, or merchandising preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
- Ability to demonstrate products confidently through demos and upselling techniques
- Organizational skills for maintaining a clean and efficient sales environment
- Knowledge of technology products or electronics is advantageous but not required
