Our client is an established Canadian manufacturer of residential window and door products serving a network of dealers and customers across Ontario and Canada. The company manufactures its products in-house and has built its reputation on product quality, responsive customer service, technical expertise, and long-term relationships with its dealer network.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Account Manager with previous window and door industry experience to manage existing dealer relationships, provide product and order support, and identify opportunities to grow sales within assigned accounts.
Previous experience within the window and door industry is required for this position.
The Position
The Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of dealer accounts. This individual will develop strong customer relationships, respond to product and order inquiries, coordinate with internal departments, and visit customers throughout Ontario and other parts of Canada as required.
The successful candidate will combine strong relationship management and customer service skills with practical knowledge of window and door products. This position is well suited to someone currently working in account management, inside sales, customer service, dealer support, estimating, quoting, or order management within the window and door industry who is interested in taking greater ownership of customer relationships and account growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with an assigned portfolio of window and door dealers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, product questions, orders, and account-related issues.
- Visit dealer locations throughout Ontario and Canada to strengthen relationships and provide ongoing support.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s window and door products, manufacturing processes, specifications, and sizing limitations.
- Provide dealers with accurate product information and assist with technical or non-standard product requirements.
- Support customers with product selection, quotations, order entry, and order processing.
- Coordinate with production, order desk, customer service, and other internal departments to resolve issues and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Monitor customer orders and help ensure products are completed and shipped according to schedule.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information and activity within the company’s CRM system.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and order volume within existing accounts.
- Recommend additional products and solutions based on customer requirements.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor products.
- Participate in internal meetings and communicate relevant customer feedback and market information.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within the window and door industry is required.
- 1–3+ years of experience in account management, sales, customer service, dealer support, estimating, quoting, order management, or a related position.
- Knowledge of residential window and door products and terminology.
- Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable learning and discussing technical product specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, inquiries, and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with CRM or window manufacturing software is an asset.
- Experience with Zoho CRM, FeneVision, or CAD is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout Ontario and Canada.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary of $65,000 per year.
