Overview
We are seeking a filipino only applicants at this time for compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care and support in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, and dementia care. Experience in medication administration, medical terminology, and hospice care is highly valued. The Health Care Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients while supporting their daily needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols
- Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Monitor and record vital signs and health status updates
- Provide compassionate care to individuals with dementia or disabilities
- Assist with light cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment
- Support patients with mobility challenges through safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Collaborate with nursing staff and case managers to develop personalized care plans
- Document patient interactions and report any changes in condition promptly
- Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance patient well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience in nursing homes, senior care, or home care settings preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and hospice or palliative care is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with patient transfers safely
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient safety and comfort
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Certification or training in caregiving or relevant healthcare fields is a plus but not required
