Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Candidates with experience in blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, and other construction-related skills are highly preferred to ensure precise and secure scaffold installation.
Duties
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine scaffold layout and specifications
- Assemble and install scaffolding structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed
- Ensure all scaffolding components are properly secured and meet safety standards before use
- Dismantle scaffolding after project completion or as directed by supervisors
- Collaborate with other construction trades to coordinate work activities on-site
- Conduct routine inspections of scaffolding for stability, safety hazards, and compliance with regulations
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris appropriately
- Assist with related tasks such as concrete forming, carpentry, or masonry if required
Requirements
- Proven experience in scaffold building or related construction roles
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations pertaining to scaffolding and construction sites
- Strong understanding of construction techniques including concrete forming, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, restoration, cabinet installation, caulking, and construction painting is a plus
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights safely
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Relevant certifications or training in scaffold safety or construction trades are preferred
