Around the World Early Learning Centre Inc. is looking for dependable and enthusiastic Casual Supply Program Staff to join our team.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and are looking for flexible, on-call employment. Supply staff play an important role in supporting our classrooms by covering staff absences and maintaining a safe, engaging, and positive environment for children.
Please note: This is a casual, on-call position with no guaranteed hours. Shifts are offered based on the operational needs of the centre. There may be opportunities for additional hours or future permanent employment as positions become available.
Qualifications / Assets
- Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) is considered an asset.
- ECA certification or experience working in a licensed child care setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen? is an asset.
- Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs is an asset.
- Flexible, dependable, and able to work on short notice.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Mature, professional, and responsible attitude.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification.
- Up-to-date immunization records.
Responsibilities
- Support educators in providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment.
- Supervise and engage children through play and daily routines.
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate activities planned by classroom educators.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Follow the policies and procedures of Around the World Early Learning Centre Inc. and all applicable licensing requirements.
- Step into different classrooms as needed to support the operational needs of the centre.
Compensation
- $19.00–$25.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
- Eligible employees may qualify for government-funded wage enhancements, where applicable.
Schedule
- Casual, on-call.
- Monday to Friday.
- No guaranteed hours.
- Additional hours may be available based on operational needs.
