Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math and Reading Tutor to support students in developing their academic skills. This role involves working closely with children across various age groups to enhance their understanding of math and reading concepts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong communication skills, and the ability to create engaging learning experiences. Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in math and reading tailored to each student’s needs.
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual learning goals.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Support students with special education needs by implementing appropriate teaching methods and accommodations.
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment that motivates students to participate actively in their learning process.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to monitor student progress and address any challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and student performance.
- Proficent in teaching reading, math, EQAO test, and literacy test,
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or tutoring settings is highly preferred.
- Background in tutoring or teaching mathematics, reading, or related subjects is advantageous.
- Classroom experience or familiarity with educational environments enhances effectiveness in this role.
- Knowledge of special education strategies and techniques is a plus.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
