Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill a dual role as Cook and Customer Experience Representative. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing our signature fried chicken and a variety of subs to our high-quality standards while also providing friendly, efficient, and outstanding service to our customers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both culinary tasks and engaging with people.
Responsibilities:
Cooking Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items, primarily fried chicken and various sub sandwiches, following established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and to the highest taste and presentation standards.
- Manage food preparation stations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper stock rotation.
- Monitor food levels and communicate inventory needs to management.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Customer Experience Duties:
- Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and process payments efficiently using our POS system.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer customer questions about our menu items.
- Ensure customer inquiries and concerns are handled promptly and professionally, striving for a positive resolution.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized front-of-house area.
- Assist with packaging orders for dine-in, takeout, and delivery.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere, making every customer feel valued.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred.
- Prior customer service experience in a retail or restaurant setting is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding food preparation and order accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 lbs.
- Food handler's permit/certification may be required (or willingness to obtain one).
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.
