Rushton Gas & Oil Equipment Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and proactive Administrative Assistant - Technical & Project Support to join our team. This role involves leading and assisting in various departments, including Quality Control, Materials Control, Job Control Reporting, Safety, Accounting, and Preventative Maintenance. You will collaborate closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Purchasing, Drafting, Accounting, and Quality Control personnel.
We are an oilfield manufacturing company focused on providing Oil and Gas Processing Equipment to the Western Canadian market. We are especially interested in candidates with related experience and a strong interest in math, science, and analytical problem-solving—individuals who enjoy working with technical information, data accuracy, and process-driven environments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the Quality Control system.
- Approve and record all code related material (MTR’s) and Job Control Reporting.
- Assemble Project Operations/Quality Control job manuals per customer data requirements.
- Fact gathering with Project Engineers and Project Managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Work with the Drafting Department to assist with Document Control.
- Expediting shipping documentation and project tracking for completed projects.
- Support the Safety department in ensuring a safe work environment including audits.
- Conduct and facilitate group meetings effectively.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
- Ensure all visitors, customers, third-party inspectors and subcontract workers on site are signed in and given proper orientations.
- Maintain a clean and organized office and lunchroom, including general filing
Job Skills:
- Proficient use of Adobe .pdf and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiar with Safety Auditing and related requirements for a full cycle Safety Program.
- MHSA Safety training would be a great asset.
- Working knowledge of ABSA, ASME codes pertaining to MTR’s checking, welder testing, continuity logbook, completing U1 form documentation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail with problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain 100% work accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a passion for customer service delivering results.
- Background or interest in math, science, engineering, or technical environments is highly valued.
- Previous experience in a similar or related technical/administrative role is preferred
