Core duties:
- Work in either Truck or Trailer shops as required.
- Perform diagnostic procedures.
- Good problem solving, trouble shooting and communication skills.
- Complete maintenance on vehicles or other company owned equipment.
- Perform work as assigned on work orders with efficiency, safety, and accuracy in accordance with shop, and regulatory standards.
- Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
- Maintain timely accurate records of work performed.
- Participate in and complete online and off-site training as requested by management within deadlines presented.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications & Competencies
- 2nd year apprentice or licensed Truck & Trailer Tech.
- Must maintain any applicable certifications.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have and maintain clean drivers abstract.
- Clean police search.
- Willingness to participate in a Drug and Alcohol program and able to provide a negative pre-employment test.
- Act in the best interest of the company always.
- Always maintain professionalism.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills…verbal, written and computer.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Able to read and understand operating manuals and technical drawings.
- Able to work rotational shifts to cover weekends, as well as covering the After-hours Service call for emergencies.
- Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Must own your own tools as required for the position.
