About the Role
Care Lending Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in the financial operations and reporting of the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective treasury and compliance management. The Senior Accountant will work closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and funding partners, while supporting the continued development of CLG’s accounting processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements for the Company and its subsidiaries.

Perform reconciliations of various balance sheet and operational accounts

Prepare portfolio and compliance reporting for multiple funding partners

Manage cash reconciliation and cash flow, including inventory and operating expense disbursements

Oversee treasury management, including fundings, buyouts, and monthly payment reconciliations

Lead and manage the year-end audit process, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors

Establish, document, and maintain accounting processes and internal controls

Review lease and loan documentation and provide accounting support for fundings

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the leasing system (LeaseSpark) is configured to support accounting and reporting requirements

Perform additional duties as required to support the finance function
Qualifications & Experience

CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred

Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in finance, leasing, or lending environments

Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and audit support

Experience working with treasury functions, cash management, and compliance reporting

High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Experience with leasing or loan systems (LeaseSpark an asset)

Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
