Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our construction and excavation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment and possess a strong understanding of construction site safety and operational procedures. This role involves utilizing specialized hydrovac equipment to perform excavation tasks efficiently and safely across various projects. The Hydrovac Operator will play a critical part in ensuring project accuracy, safety, and timely completion.
Duties
- Operate hydrovac trucks and related heavy machinery with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of hydrovac equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Safely perform excavation, potholing, and utility locating tasks in various environments
- Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accurate digging depths and locations
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding project progress and safety concerns
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Experience
- Proven experience operating Hydrovac Truck in a construction setting
- Familiarity with Hydrovac systems and techniques for excavation work
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with commercial driving and operating heavy truck in all weather
- Construction background with hands-on experience in excavation, is highly desirable
- Ability to work safely in potentially hazardous environments while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
