Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard /Driver to join our team. This role is essential for the efficient movement of boats and trailers within our yard. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. Prior driving experience delivering boats is highly valued, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and team members.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks, forklifts, and other yard vehicles to move materials, equipment, and supplies within the yard and to designated locations
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during daily operations
Skills
- Proven experience in hauling trailers.
- Ability to operate forklifts and tractors safely and efficiently
- Strong moving skills for handling heavy loads with proper technique
- Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and customers
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and trailering boats/pwc's
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in customer service is a plus, ensuring positive interactions during deliveries or pickups
Pay: $26.00-$28.05 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 44.0 per week
