Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery & Logistics
- Safe Operations: Safely operate the company vehicle to deliver products to designated retail locations within scheduled timeframes.
- Loading/Unloading: Manually load and unload products in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.
- Documentation: Verify delivery accuracy, obtain customer signatures, and meticulously complete all delivery paperwork.
- Cash Handling: Securely collect payments when required and process funds according to company procedures.
In-Store Merchandising & Customer Service
- Shelf Management: Stock, organize, and rotate products on store shelves to maximize visual appeal.
- Quality Control: Check product expiry dates, pull expired/damaged goods, and manage returns of unsellable items.
- Relationship Building: Communicate effectively and professionally with store staff to resolve delivery issues and maintain strong partnerships.
- Reporting: Keep the Managing Director and Operations Team Lead informed of any inventory discrepancies or delivery issues.
Vehicle Care & Safety
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular daily checks on the company vehicle (oil, tires, lights, brakes) and report mechanical concerns promptly in compliance with Alberta road safety standards.
- Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and provincial traffic regulations.
- Vehicle Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable company vehicle.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensing: Valid Alberta Driver’s License with a clean, verifiable driving abstract.
- Experience: Previous experience in commercial product delivery and retail merchandising is considered as an asset.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physically active duties (bending, reaching, lifting) throughout the day.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Attributes: Highly reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
