About Us:
BOND|ST Event Centre is an iconic venue with a rich history, originally constructed for the GM United Auto Workers Union Local 222 and purchased by The Sacco Group in 1996. After housing various tenants, including The Dungeon and Lazer Quest, it was renamed and revitalized in 2020. Our mission is to preserve the building's historical integrity while contributing to the vibrant arts, culture, and entertainment scene in Downtown Oshawa. Our facility features two live music venues, the Mainstage and TwoTwoTwo, as well as the Local Lounge, BOND|ST Cafe, and BOND|ST Snack Bar.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cafe Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, a strong team spirit, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized area.
- Work effectively within a team or solo to ensure smooth operation during events and operational hours.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of the cafe.
- Ordering inventory and assisting with schedule as required.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations.
- Crafting specialty coffee beverages as recipe instructs.
- Preparing sandwiches and various pastries.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of barista experience , with strong knowledge of coffee recipes and techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Confidence in solo work and time management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
