Position Summary
Proform Construction Products is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Southern Alberta Territory Manager to support the continued growth of our business throughout Alberta and Western Canada.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing customer relationships, and promoting Proform's products and solutions within the precast concrete, municipal infrastructure, civil construction, underground utilities and waterworks markets. This position requires a proactive, customer-focused professional who can build strong relationships with engineers, consultants, municipalities, contractors, developers and owners while identifying and converting opportunities into profitable sales.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude with a hunter mentality and a passion for business development. They are comfortable discussing technical applications, specifications, drawings and infrastructure projects while actively pursuing new opportunities and expanding market share within their territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory growth strategy to increase revenue and market share.
- Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, consultants, municipalities, contractors, developers, owners and industry partners.
- Conduct regular customer visits, project reviews, product presentations and jobsite meetings.
- Promote Proform's products and services by understanding customer requirements and recommending effective solutions.
- Follow up on quotations, project opportunities and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a high level of market awareness, including upcoming projects, competitor activities, industry trends and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with estimating, operations, production and management teams to ensure exceptional customer service and project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, quotations and sales activity using company CRM and reporting systems.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, industry association events, training sessions, and networking functions.

Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- P.Eng., CET, or equivalent industry designation is considered an asset but is not required.
- Experience in precast concrete, civil construction, municipal infrastructure, underground utilities, waterworks, engineering, or related industries is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications, infrastructure projects, and construction processes.
- Proven ability to develop new business opportunities, penetrate target accounts, and grow territory sales.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and self-motivated approach to achieving results.
- Hunter mentality with a passion for prospecting, relationship development, and winning new business.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Experience using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other business development tools.
- Valid driver's license is required.
Working Conditions
- Position is based out of Calgary or Red Deer, Alberta. Candidates must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Calgary or Red Deer, Alberta.
- Regular travel throughout Alberta and Western Canada is required.
- Frequent customer visits, site meetings, and project-related travel.
- Attendance at trade shows, conferences, association events, networking functions, and customer entertainment activities are expected.
- Travel across Canada and occasional international travel may be required for conferences, training, customer meetings, plant tours, and business development initiatives.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required to support customer events, trade shows, conferences, networking functions, and project requirements.
- Exposure to construction sites, manufacturing facilities, outdoor conditions, and variable weather may occur.
- Extended work hours may be required based on travel schedules, customer needs, and business demands.
