YES TV has an excellent opportunity to join the team of Canada’s most-watched faith and values television station in the full-time permanent position of Accountant.

Areas of Responsibility
- Inform the organization of daily cash flow information.
- Support A/P processing through approvals
- Support the subsidiary division through corporate-level transactions.
Specific Job Duties:
- Approve and post daily bank entries and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Review and approve cheque requisitions.
- Calculate monthly sales commissions.
- Calculate and enter CRTC calculations.
- Process SOCAN monthly calculation and send earning reports to SOCAN head office.
- Calculate WSIB payable and report the monthly premiums.
- Maintain Fixed Assets, including additions and disposal of assets.
- Calculate monthly depreciation.
- Calculate NRH payable due monthly.
- Perform account reconciliations
- Calculate and enter bad debt allowance.
- Prepare and enter monthly journal entries.
- Calculate and reconcile monthly HST payable.
- Perform any corporate level gl entries as needed for subsidiary company, 1000708882 Ontario Inc.
- Perform any corporate-level accounts payable duties as needed for subsidiary company, 1000708882 Ontario Inc.
- Prepare year-end reports for auditors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- University Business Finance Degree
- Minimum 5 years of analysis and account reconciliations
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated team player
