Shannon's Home Care Services is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and professional Care Aide to join our growing team. This is a casual, on-call position and hours are not guaranteed. Flexibility and reliability are essential, as shifts may become available on short notice.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a caring environment
- Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any concerns to supervisory staff
- Support residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments with specialized care techniques
- Document care provided accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
- Provide compassionate personal care and companionship to clients.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding if required.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide transportation for shopping, appointments, and errands (when required).
- Complete accurate care notes and communicate professionally with clients, families, and management.
- Promote client independence, dignity, and safety at all times.
- Live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Hold a valid CCA (Continuing Care Assistant) or PSW (Personal Support Worker) certificate.
- Have a current CPR & First Aid certificate.
- Have Food Safe/Food Handling certification.
- Have Dementia Care training.
- Have TLR (Transfer, Lifting & Repositioning) training.
- Have a valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- Carry appropriate vehicle insurance for work-related travel.
- Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Have a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last six months.
- Be reliable, compassionate, professional, and able to work independently
- Please note: This position is not eligible for LMIA or SINP support. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in Canada. We are unable to sponsor work permits or permanent residency through this position.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
