Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC/R electrical systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Read and interpret detailed construction plans, schematics, and electrical blueprints to ensure precise installations
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment safely and efficiently during all phases of work
- Conduct maintenance and renovation projects involving low voltage wiring and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for HVAC systems
- Diagnose electrical issues within complex HVAC/R setups using schematics and industrial electrician experience
- Collaborate with contractors, builders, and homeowners to ensure projects meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Perform inspections of electrical components related to HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations
Skills
- Proven experience as a licensed Red Seal Electrician with strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks, including low voltage wiring and PLC programming
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment for installation and repair work
- Construction experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or system replacements
- Familiarity with electrical schematics related to HVAC/R equipment and control systems
- Knowledge of handyman skills that support troubleshooting minor repairs beyond electrical work
