Redline Management Services is recruiting on behalf of a growing British Columbia manufacturer of engineered cable tray systems and custom fabricated solutions supporting industrial, infrastructure, and mission-critical projects across North America.
We are looking for a skilled CAD Modeler / 3D CAD Designer to support engineered-to-order industrial projects. This role works closely with the Applications Engineer and Engineering team to create accurate 3D models, assemblies, layouts, and fabrication drawings for customer projects.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, technically strong, and capable of producing organized and accurate CAD models in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do

Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies

Generate fabrication drawings, layouts, and installation views

Interpret project specifications, floor plans, and customer requirements

Work with the Applications Engineer to gather project information and technical details

Update and revise models based on engineering or customer feedback

Ensure models align with manufacturing and production requirements

Maintain drawing revisions and CAD documentation standards

Support production and project teams with technical drawing clarification

Assist with design standardization and CAD library development
Qualifications

Diploma or Certification in Mechanical Design, Drafting, CAD Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field

2+ years of CAD modeling experience in industrial or manufacturing environments

Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, or similar platforms

Strong understanding of manufacturing drawings and fabrication processes

Ability to read technical drawings and engineering documentation

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Compensation: $28–$40/hour depending on experience
