Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral design, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong background in floral arrangements and design. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced retail environment, creating beautiful designs for various occasions while providing outstanding service to our clients. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Fluency in English is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and create custom flower arrangements for everyday orders, custom walk-in bouquets, events, holidays, weddings, grad, and special occasions
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and related products, offering expert advice on floral care and design options as well as plant knowledge with plant care knowledge being a plus.
- Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers by proper handling and storage
- Experience with event design, set up and take down is a plus.
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and order processing
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays that attract customers and promote sales
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and personalized recommendations
- Keep the shop organized, clean, and visually appealing
- Work with the direction of the store manager alongside team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Experience
- Previous professional floral design experience required
- Strong creativity, passion for flowers and attention to detail
- Knowledge of flower and plant varieties as well as care and handling
- Experience with retail sales, cashiering, cash handling, and excellence in customer service
- Experience with social media platforms like Instagram
- Ability to work weekends and busy holiday times
- Friendly, reliable, and team oriented
- Familiarity with POS systems and e-commerce platforms is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to engage with customers and team members professionally.

Pay: $24.00-$26.50 per hour
