Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs, offering expert advice on gardening, landscaping, and horticulture supplies
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions including cash handling and electronic payments
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility and appeal
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and resolving concerns promptly
- Support landscape maintenance activities within the store or garden center as needed to ensure a tidy and inviting environment
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and assisting with e-commerce order fulfillment
- Communicate product features and benefits clearly in multiple languages if applicable to serve diverse customer needs
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is highly desirable
- Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance enhances your ability to assist customers effectively
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging a diverse clientele
- Passion for customer service with a friendly, energetic attitude that motivates others
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain an orderly sales floor
