Inclusion Support Worker – After-School Program (Part-Time)
Pay: CA$16.85–CA$27.33 per hour

BGC Greater Fredericton is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dependable Inclusion Support Worker to provide one-on-one support for a middle school-aged child in our licensed after-school program at our Southside location.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive in an inclusive, supportive environment while working as part of a collaborative team.
Please note: Applicants must be available Monday to Friday from 1:30/2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. throughout the school year. (We would consider 2:30-5:30)
What You'll Do
As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will:
- Provide individualized support to help a child successfully participate in the after-school program.
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that promotes the child's confidence, independence, and success.
- Work collaboratively with the child's family, BGC staff, and other professionals to implement consistent support strategies.
- Build positive relationships while serving as a caring and encouraging role model.
- Assist with group activities and work as a general Program Leader with other children when required.
- Support the delivery of engaging recreational, educational, and social programming.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Direct experience working with elementary school-aged children in daycare, school, camp, recreation, or similar settings.
- Previous training and/or experience providing one-on-one or inclusion support for children in a daycare, school, or community setting.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, reliable, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
- The ability to adapt to changing needs and support the broader after-school program when required.
Required Certifications & Screening
Successful candidates must have:
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR certification (2-day course).
- A clear New Brunswick Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 12 months.
- Successful completion of all BGC Greater Fredericton screening requirements.
Schedule
Part-time (School Year)
- Monday to Friday, 1:30/2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Full-day shifts on school closure days and during Winter/March Break.
