ABOUT THE YARROW CENTRE
The Yarrow Centre is an innovative child development and early learning centre opening in the heart of Saanich. Built by clinicians and educators, The Yarrow Centre brings together early learning, childcare, family support services, and interdisciplinary therapy under one roof.
Through Aspire Preschool and our clinical services, we support children across a wide range of developmental profiles while also providing consultation and education to schools, childcare programs, and community organizations throughout British Columbia.
Our approach is relationship-based, neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and rooted in helping children thrive within their everyday environments.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Clinical Services
- Conduct speech-language assessments for preschool and school-aged children
- Develop individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct intervention in-clinic, virtually, and within natural environments
- Collaborate with families to support communication goals at home
Early Learning & Preschool Collaboration
- Support communication development within Aspire Preschool and The Yarrow Centre’s early learning programs
- Collaborate with educators to create communication-rich environments
- Help design inclusive strategies that benefit all children, not just those receiving direct therapy
Consultation & Outreach
- Travel to schools, preschools, childcare centers, and community programs throughout British Columbia
- Provide consultation, coaching, and training to educators and support teams
- Support implementation of communication strategies across environments
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, counsellors, behaviour consultants, educators, and other professionals
- Contribute to program development and innovation

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Experienced Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a new professional challenge

- School-based or health authority SLPs seeking greater flexibility
- New graduates interested in mentorship and support as they begin their careers
New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Comprehensive mentorship, supervision, and support will be provided as you transition into independent practice and build confidence in assessment, intervention, consultation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Successful candidates will have:
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC)
- A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Passion for working with children and families
- Interest in interdisciplinary and community-based practice
- A valid BC driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation
