The Lounge Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food items in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. This role plays an important part in providing an exceptional guest experience by ensuring timely service and consistent food quality.
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
Ensure food is served hot, fresh, and attractively plated.
Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Assist in developing and implementing daily specials or promotions as approved by management.
Support bar and lounge staff by ensuring food orders are prepared efficiently and delivered promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures as required by public health regulations.
Properly label, date, and store food items according to company standards.
Assist with inventory control, including receiving, rotating, and restocking supplies.
Report equipment malfunctions or shortages to management promptly.
Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
Provide courteous and professional interactions with staff and customers as needed.
Support a positive and inclusive work environment focused on teamwork and respect.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a line cook, short-order cook, or similar role in a lounge, restaurant, or food service environment.
Food Handler Certification (required).
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen best practices.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 25 lbs.
