Superior Industrial Wheel is a leading manufacturer and overhaul facility specializing in mining wheel and rim assemblies for the underground mining industry. We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Labourer / Delivery Driver to join our growing team.
This position offers a combination of shop labour and local deliveries, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, physical work, and being on the road. The successful candidate will assist our manufacturing team while ensuring products and materials are delivered safely and professionally to customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Shop Duties
- Assist with the manufacturing and overhaul of heavy-duty mining wheel and rim assemblies
- Disassemble and reassemble wheel and rim components
- Sandblast and prepare components for painting and inspection
- Operate grinders, hand tools, and shop equipment safely
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Support production staff with general labour duties
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist Certified Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technicians with inspections and testing activities as required
Delivery Duties
- Pick up and deliver products, materials, and supplies to customers and vendors throughout Northern Ontario
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely
- Complete delivery documentation accurately
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Represent Superior Industrial Wheel professionally while interacting with customers
- Safely operate a Class 5 (Ram 5500) truck with flatbed while towing trailers
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G Class driver's licence (required)
- Clean driving record
- Bilingual (English/French) is considered a strong asset
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, mining, warehousing, or industrial labour is an asset
- Mechanically inclined with experience using hand and power tools
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is an asset (training available)
Compensation & Benefits
- $24.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience
