Barista, Food Prep, Cashier
Looking for a part-time Barista/ All Rounder to join our small team at a cafe in Aurora, Ontario
This is a part-time position offering two-to-three shifts per week. Candidates must be available to work Sundays. Plus opportunity to fill in for staff when on vacation or sick.
Primary duties Include but are not limited to:
· Preparing espresso-based drinks
· Helping to prepare sandwiches, smoothies and other simple food items
· Cleaning work space at end of day, including sweeping and mopping floor, taking out trash
· Tracking inventory & restocking
· Counter service/customer service; experience using a POS
Experience & Other Requirements
· Experience making espresso-based drinks. Latte Art.
Experience working at a restaurant, cafe, or other hospitality industry environment
· Friendly with excellent communication skills. Candidates must sincerely enjoy interacting and getting to know regular customers.
· A self-starter who takes initiative without being told, especially when it comes to keeping the work space stocked, clean and tidy
· Candidates must have ability to go up and down stairs several times per day
*Candidates must have their Food Safety Certificate or be willing to get it before employment begins. Employer will pay for course for the right candidate.
Compensation: $17.60 per hour, plus tips
