Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fence Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of fences efficiently and accurately, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of construction skills and tools. Prior experience in construction or related trades is preferred, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine fence layout and specifications.
- Prepare the worksite by clearing areas, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Measure and mark fence lines accurately according to project specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery required for fence installation.
- Dig post holes using augers or manual tools; set posts securely in concrete or other foundation materials.
- Install various fencing materials including wood, vinyl, chain link, or ornamental fences.
- Ensure proper alignment, levelness, and stability of installed fences.
- Perform finishing tasks such as caulking, sealing, or applying protective coatings as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within scope.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, welding, electrical experience, plumbing, flooring installation, tile laying, cabinetry installation, restoration work, construction painting, concrete finishing, heavy equipment operation, and caulking is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision in measurements and installations.
