Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments
- Prepare animals for procedures and recover them post-operation
- Collect and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
- Provide client education on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and treatment areas
- Monitor anesthesia levels during surgeries and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures
- Support inventory management by ordering supplies and ensuring proper storage
Skills
- Proven laboratory experience with sample collection and analysis
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle animals gently while maintaining safety protocols
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for record keeping
