Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Team Driver for semi trucks to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Safely operate semi trucks in accordance with federal, state, and company regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate driving schedules and delivery routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts to load or unload cargo efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and report any incidents or hazards immediately.
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience operating semi trucks in a team driving environment preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Experience with forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively.
- Prior experience in logistics or transportation industries is advantageous but not required.
