Position Overview
While proudly part of the broader Integrity Group of Companies, Integrity Building Products is a well-established leader in Alberta's building products and construction industry. We specialize in the manufacturing and supply of advanced framing components, including full End-to-End Framing Management for production homebuilders.
Reporting to the Estimating Supervisor, the Junior Estimator serves as an important link between the Design team, Account team and Field Operations. This role focuses on the technical verification of material takeoffs, the generation of procurement-ready files, and the maintenance of project data integrity. The Junior Estimator supports the Estimating team by managing high-volume data, ensuring our material packages are accurate, cost-effective and delivered on time.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Material Take-offs: Perform initial, detailed material take-offs for residential framing packages under the guidance of the Estimating Supervisor.
- Drawing Audits: Review and cross-reference construction drawings to ensure material lists align precisely with 'Issued for Tender' (IFT) and 'Issued for Construction' (IFC) documents.
- Change Order Processing: Update material lists and take-offs when project scopes change, ensuring project data remains current and accurate in the system.
- Specifications & Client Alignment: Maintain and update customer-specific requirements, structural guidelines and product specification documents.
- Cost Tracking & Reporting: Assist in tracking 'Estimated vs Actual' material usage to help refine quoting accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Digital File Maintenance: Organize project folders to ensure easy access to current quotes, structural checks, and QA sign-offs.
- Team Support: Provide administrative and technical support to the Estimating team to keep projects moving on schedule.
Education/Experience Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the residential or commercial construction industry. Specific experience in construction materials or structural component manufacturing is an asset.
- Proven experience reading construction drawing sets, performing material take-offs, and qualifying bid submissions
- Strong understanding of structural framing, residential building materials and general construction assemblies

Technology & Equipment
- Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Bluebeam PDF editing and digital workflow software
- Experience with MiTek, Sapphire, CAD software or other drafting and design software is an asset
