Overview
We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Esthetician to join our wellness and beauty team. The ideal candidate is passionate about skincare, client care, and helping individuals feel confident in their appearance. This role involves providing high-quality esthetic treatments in a welcoming, client-focused environment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service.
The successful candidate will have experience performing advanced skincare treatments, strong product knowledge, and the ability to recommend personalized treatment plans based on each client’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional skincare treatments including facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and advanced facial treatments
- Provide consultations and assess clients’ skin concerns and goals
- Recommend appropriate skincare products and treatment plans
- Perform services such as waxing, lash lifts/tints, spray tans, and other esthetic treatments as offered
- Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and tools according to sanitation and safety standards
- Ensure client comfort and provide exceptional customer service throughout every appointment
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and home skincare routines
- Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes
- Stay up to date with current skincare trends, products, and techniques
- Support a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Certified/licensed Esthetician or Medical Esthetician in Nova Scotia
- Previous experience in a spa, medical spa, salon, or wellness setting preferred
- Knowledge of skincare products, treatments, and skin conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to build client relationships and retain clientele
- Experience with retail sales is considered an asset
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends may be required
