Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fabricating metal components with precision and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and various fabrication techniques to produce high-quality products that meet project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Operate welding equipment including MIG and TIG welders to join metal components securely.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to cut, shape, and assemble materials accurately.
- Perform plasma cutting, press brake operations, and machining tasks to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Rigging and handling heavy components using cranes or forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Conduct quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure adherence to design tolerances and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, and material handling.
- Assist in the assembly of ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated assemblies as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or construction environments with a focus on fabrication.
- Hands-on knowledge of welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Experience operating machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, forklifts, and hand or power tools.
- Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, crane operation, machining processes, and assembly procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to work with ductwork or structural steel components is a plus.
- Prior experience with schematics interpretation, welding certifications, or construction projects will be advantageous. Pay: $17.67-$36.87 per hour
