Packer Operator
Kidco Construction is a leading residential earthworks construction company based in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded packer operator to join our Earthworks division for the 2026 season.
The Packer Operator is responsible for compacting soil, gravel, and other fill materials to the required compaction specifications. In this position you will operate a variety of compaction equipment including smooth drum rollers and padfoot rollers. You will work closely rock trucks, graders, scrapers, and the rest of the earthworks fleet to ensure consistent compaction of the fill area on site.
Our ideal candidate:

Has a minimum of 1 year of experience operating CAT 815, 816, or 825 Packer models

Previous experience operating a Packer on a large-scale civil earthworks (preferred)

Can follow plans while maintaining strong production with excellent attention to detail

Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work

Has a personal vehicle and a valid class 5 driver's license
